So, I might actually do it and sell my powerbook.
If you are interested and want to pay a good fare price, post a comment here.
I would love to get $1800.
Here are the specs.
Powebook G4 15 inch
1GHZ
768 Ram
Combo Drive
2 years of Applecare
An additional battery
And all the memories of my love and attention for it.
One small ding in the right corner from where I dropped it that fateful day, but the machine is totally fine.
Really clean - I am a bit obsessive about cleaning it.
Has office, iIife and iwork that I would be willing to leave on if you want it or I could reformat the hard drive.
A comparable machine new is $2500 without office.
I am nervous about selling to someone I know so only inquire if you will never hound me about it latter.
I am all panicky about this so I might change my mind.
hey doug! how can you live without your mac? or are you moving to a smaller, more lightweight sister...the 12 inch?
if you are serious...i might be your buyer...sadly i must turn my beloved G4 back into the office...now that i am no longer a paid christian there! i just haven't gotten all the stuff of my brain off of it yet...and all the separation anxiety of not having G by my side ...
keep us posted..especially on what your next book WILL be written on...lil

I've been thinking about selling my PC and getting a powerbook. Anyone want to by it for $1800 so I can buy Doug's Mac?!! Although that might be weird.

any coffee in the mac? I hear they work better that way.

1) are you leaving the MAC word and returing to the more cool world of PC now? it seems that MAC is now so "hip", that is becomming to cool to use a PC instead.
2) if you sell it, will you leave all your personal emails and private things in the hard drive, so whoever buys it can also get to know you better that way?
